Chapter 8 The Symphony of Li Wei and Wesker
Chapter 8 The Symphony of Li Wei and Wesker
Yesterday, Li Wei thought the "Li Wei Gang" was a stupid idea.
But tonight, as Levi sat in Wesker's car, fully equipped with 22 kilograms of Marine Corps combat gear and waiting for the "game to begin," he realized the idea wasn't so stupid after all.
But when he turned around to see how things were going with Wesker, his "well-funded" 25-kilogram Delta "outfit" made Levi express his dissatisfaction for the fourth time today.
"Hey! Old man! I still think you're being discriminatory."
Wesker, who was operating the drone, didn't even look up, and his answer remained unchanged.
"You know I'm a selfish person; if there's something good, I'll definitely use it for myself first."
However, he seemed to still consider Li Wei's feelings and looked up at Li Wei.
"Of course, if you're complaining as the 'boss,' I can offer you some comforting words—as a soldier, what you're most familiar with is more decisive in determining life and death than what you're most expensive."
After saying that, he continued operating the drone.
Li Wei tilted his head, looked at the stars and moon in the sky, and pondered for a moment.
He felt that what Wesker said made sense, but it made him very unhappy.
So he got up, got out of the car, and went straight to the trunk.
"Hey! What are you doing!"
Ignoring the screen in his hand, Wesker suddenly stuck his neck out from the driver's seat.
Li Wei acted as if he hadn't heard anything and opened the trunk.
It was almost entirely filled with ammunition and tactical grenades, as well as several "Wesker Private Collection" grenades in boxes.
Li Wei casually tossed his M27 in, then precisely pulled out a box and opened it.
A meticulously modified and maintained HK416 D10 came into view.
Li Wei licked his lips and reached out to take it.
But with the sound of a car door opening, Li Wei's "claws" were forcibly pulled back.
"Hey! Don't touch my 'daughter'!"
Wesker's angry voice rudely "poured" into Levi's ears.
Li Wei flipped his wrist and grabbed Wesker's wrist, pulling and tugging until he was pinned to the car.
"Old man, interested in being my 'father-in-law'?"
Li Wei teased him in a way that was infuriating.
Wesker, who was pinned down, showed no sign of backing down.
"Any father who loves his daughter would not nod in agreement with a bad boy who covets her; his first reaction would be to raise a gun and aim it."
As soon as Wesker finished speaking, Levi felt something pressing against his crotch.
The moment Li Wei looked down, he saw Wesker's "most trusted henchman" eager to strike, ready to give him a hard blow at any moment.
The Glock 19 is not a custom model, but it is almost synonymous with "stability and reliability".
"Hey! You old geezer, you actually started a 'gang fight'!"
Wesker, however, acted as if it were perfectly normal.
"This is called 'concentrating superior forces' and 'new recruits'."
"Have you ever heard of 'new recruits' shoving 'veteran's' heads down the toilet?"
Just as Wesker couldn't help but wonder if Levi had really done such a thing, a burst of fire suddenly erupted, followed by an explosion.
"On your way here, you said 'planting landmines'—you didn't mean you were just going to the toilet, you actually planted landmines?!"
Wesker stared in disbelief at the car that had become a fireball and flown into the sky.
Seeing this, Li Wei immediately released Wesker, who didn't say another word.
After the two rushed into the car, Li Wei finally spoke up to explain.
"You didn't believe me when I told you we were being followed, but now that the landmine has exploded, that's the best proof."
Wesker paused as he turned the car key.
He knew he was not as good as Levi, but in his mind, the difference was only between the Glock 17 and the Glock 19 – the standard general-purpose model and the compact and portable model.
The specific differences depend on the actual scenario and application.
But now, he has to admit that the gap between them before was probably between the M1911 and the HK416.
A classic and reliable piece, but it deserves to go to a museum.
One is a benchmark for modern rifles and has achieved remarkable results on the battlefield.
"Okay, if you really like my 'daughter,' come back later..."
As Wesker spoke, he turned his head, like a true old father preparing to hand his daughter's hand to the groom.
But at that very moment, he discovered that Li Wei, that bastard, had actually "got on the bus first and bought the ticket later"!
"If you fucking dare scratch her, I'll kill you!"
During the process of getting into the car, Li Wei politely helped Wesker close the trunk and casually picked up the HK416 D10 and hung it on his body.
Now sitting in the passenger seat, facing Wesker's curses, he nonchalantly knocked on the window, as if he were in an armored vehicle, and urged us on.
"Commander! Move out quickly! Those drug dealers should be starting to prepare to leave!"
Wesker was quite dissatisfied with Levi's attitude, but before he could speak, Levi shut him up with a single sentence.
"Be more professional!"
Wesker knew Levi was right, but he was a little annoyed.
So, after starting the car, instead of chasing the drug dealers' armored truck as planned, he turned the car around and drove straight into the drug manufacturing plant not far away.
Now that we've been discovered, let's just get right up to them and kill them!
Incidentally, it also allows you to vent your emotions.
With that in mind, Wesker floored the accelerator.
"boom!"
With a loud bang, Wesker's last remaining Chevrolet Suburban, like an armored vehicle, smashed through the concrete walls of the drug manufacturing plant.
But it's only "seems" that way.
After most of its body was smashed into the car, this 2015 "classic car" died of overwork amidst a smell of burning and white smoke.
Li Wei's reaction... was quite happy.
"This is much more exciting than originally planned!"
Seeing at least twenty gunmen rushing towards him, Li Wei immediately put on a gas mask, and amidst the whirring bullets, smashed the windshield in front of him with the butt of his rifle and threw out two smoke grenades.
"Hey! Watch out for my 'daughter's' bottom!"
Wesker's complaints sounded muffled because of the gas mask.
But his movements were swift and decisive.
The moment the smoke cleared, he and Li Wei kicked open the car doors almost simultaneously, released the safety, and began firing their guns, forming a crossfire network while flanking the two sides.
They didn't fire blindly. Instead, Wesker forced the gunmen in the smoke to move by firing short, regular bursts of fire, and Levi would then follow up with shots based on the outlines of the moving bodies, ensuring they continued to move.
Li Wei's fighting style is also very sophisticated. He doesn't insist on fatal positions, but strives to render the target unable to fight.
Meanwhile, the two men continuously tightened their firepower, closed the distance, and, according to their line of sight, each fired follow-up shots at the downed gunmen.
So, amidst a chaotic and somewhat panicked barrage of gunfire, an HK416 D10 and an HK416 CQB sounded like a symphony orchestra playing together in the bustling city, their rhythms ringing out continuously.
Soon, the gunfire became sparse.
When Levi and Wesker switched initial positions, the last two HK416s fired almost simultaneously, and the battle ended when both bullets pierced the head of the last gunman.
The smoke seemed to be cooperating, dissipating at just the right moment.
The ground was littered with corpses, and the last two figures were still standing.
Levi and Wesker.
But they did not stop. Instead, they moved toward the office area on the second floor, guns in hand, while covering each other.
Feeling the perfect weight and excellent feel in his hand, and recalling the extraordinary performance after pulling the trigger, Li Wei couldn't help but sincerely praise it.
"Hey! Old man! Your 'daughter' is amazing!"
