Chapter 818 - 443 Coolie Wagyu

Chapter 818: Chapter 443 Coolie WagyuThe days for No.1 Coolie and No.2 Coolie were actually not bad, if it wasn’t for the fact that they couldn’t see anyone other than Yan Fei, their life in this valley was worry-free regarding food and clothing, even more reclusive than hermits.

They ate the most natural, unpolluted vegetables and lived in a valley full of pastoral natural scenery, breathing the purest air. After part of the valley had been remodeled, there actually wasn’t much that needed to be done each day.

Moreover, both of them distinctly felt that their physical fitness had improved after living here for a while, and they didn’t feel tired from working. Everything was so perfect—if only they could see their families, if only life wasn’t so monotonous, if only they didn’t have some worries and fears every day.

In fact, now the two rarely felt worried or scared, having gotten used to hearing strange and terrifying roars from afar, used to seeing devil-winged flying creatures soaring through the sky from time to time, and used to quickly hiding in small caves when danger loomed...

In their opinion, the biggest monster in this world was the person who had captured them in the first place. Indeed, it was true, as on the few occasions when monsters accidentally fell into the valley—even if they didn’t become crippled—they were quickly eliminated by that person.

After going through the initial fear and panic, irritation and unease, and various other appropriate and inappropriate emotions, even the dim-witted No.2 Coolie understood that it was better to just stay put!

It’s better to live poorly than to die nobly.

Human adaptability is infinite, and over time, No.1 Coolie and No.2 Coolie found some entertainment activities to keep themselves busy. Such as blacksmithing, playing the Erhu, practicing throwing knives for accuracy, playing chess with each other—the only problem was that their skill levels were not on the same line at all. For games that required a bit of intelligence, the novelty wore off extremely quickly.

But they could always find something to do. For example, No.1 Coolie would enjoy re

The cows sent to the No.1 Coolie’s valley were just a part, a small part.

Only now did he realize that his possessions could only be considered the most primitive small fattening base. Fortunately, with his secret homemade feed, he could manage to compete with others.

Not to belittle or exaggerate, but really, there was no comparison.

Just look at what others have at their cattle farms.

Pastures, grasslands at the bottom of the slopes by the river— not only planted with forage but various other plants whose names couldn’t be uttered. A broad expanse of flora, which, despite the dim colors of the night, allowed one to get a glimpse. The perimeter of the ranch was lined with a variety of green trees; it was hard to make out their detailed shapes at night, but one could imagine that in daylight under the sun, the scenery must be incredibly beautiful.

And what’s more, there were pavilions and stone benches amidst the ranch, and a clear little stream meandered around, with a few quaint wooden bridges adding charm. It must be quite pleasant to relax, entertain, and reside here.

The machinery vehicles beside the ranch, each one without a name and only guessable in terms of their purpose, and a bit further off inside the ranch, they were taking advantage of the night to water. They weren’t hand-watering with buckets but rather had an irrigation system emerging from the ground, automatically spraying clear water, which looked like little fountains.

The ranch houses were also charmingly styled buildings. This place is not just suited for cattle-breeding; it could also serve as a scenic area for visitors—in fact, Yan Fei didn’t know that this ranch really was open for tourism.

This is the so-called ranch economy, not just cattle-raising but also sightseeing. When city folks have nothing else to do, they come here to have a look at the cows, the flowers, and the grass, to eat some natural Wild Vegetables and beef; simply put, to see and taste everything.

And none of this is for free; you’ve got to spend money when you come here.

That’s why the ranch is willing to invest in infrastructure! They earn from cattle-raising, and the visitors are not few either, a steady stream of money from them too.
