Chapter 85 Petrification Reappears, Loss of Composure
Chapter 85 Petrification Reappears, Loss of Composure
Landric wandered around the castle like a vagrant.
Relying on the invisibility spell he possessed, he completely disregarded the portraits of Hogwarts.
They returned to Slytherin through the secret passage.
The common room was still warmly lit by the fire, with dark green curtains hanging quietly.
Landric glanced instinctively at the sofa in front of the fireplace.
He hadn't lifted the spell yet, and from an outsider's perspective, the entire lounge was empty.
Landric returned to his dormitory and then frowned.
Where is he? Where is that huge little dragon?
Landric's eyelids twitched when he found no message from Draco in the dormitory.
Theodore, Blaise, and Draco's two usual henchmen were all woken up by Landric.
"Where's Draco?"
Everyone was still not fully awake, and no one spoke.
After a few seconds of pause, a fruit was thrown at Landric, but Theodore managed to stop it in time.
Blaise grabbed his disheveled hair and snapped at Landric, "Rozier, are you out of your mind?"
"If Draco Malfoy really disappeared, shouldn't you be the first to know? What's wrong with you acting like this?"
Brace felt a little annoyed when he saw the anxiety in Landric's eyes.
Based on merit alone, I haven't seen Landric treat Draco any better.
Landric was thoroughly annoyed with Blaise: "Get out!"
Seeing the stupid looks on these people's faces, Landric gave them a disgusted look and turned to leave.
Suddenly, a tremendous force stopped him in his tracks, and with a hiss...
Landric looked at Gore's hand in disbelief.
His entire sleeve was ripped off.
A thin layer of muscle covered her fair skin, with very smooth lines.
"Rand...Rand, Draco received a letter, it looks like it's yours."
Landric understood almost immediately what Goyle had left unsaid.
That idiot Malfoy went to find him.
"Hmph," Blaise chuckled, his eyes fixed on Landric with a provocative gaze. "So, you can be stupid sometimes, huh?"
Landric was already burning with anger. He stared coldly at Blaise, took a few steps forward, and slapped him across the face.
"If you say anything more that I don't like to hear, your tongue will be cut off."
Before Blaise could say anything more, Landric led Gore and Crabbe away.
Theodore immediately grabbed a robe and chased after him.
"Nott, you're like a dog."
"Even dogs have to wait in line for him." Theodore paused, then calmly looked back at Blaise.
"Zabini, I'm not stupid, and I won't do anything stupid."
The Slytherin common room farce has come to an end.
It's not far from Snape's office, but it's not close either.
Landric knocked directly on Snape's door. "Professor, I, Malfoy, have disappeared!"
The door opened within three seconds, and Snape learned that he would have to work overtime.
Snape, who was about to scold Landric for forgetting the Rozier family's etiquette: ...
He paused strangely for two seconds, then took a deep breath. "When?"
Before Landric could speak, Gore said directly, "After curfew."
Snape: "You..."
"Professor, Landrick was playing Wizarding with me tonight, but when we got back, he couldn't find Malfoy."
Theodore hurriedly followed, draped his robe over Landric's shoulders to cover his pale arms, and interrupted Snape's words.
We can't let Landric answer that; if we let him answer, it would be like he's just making it up on the spot.
Although he felt that with Landric's intelligence, he could easily come up with a reason on the spot and make it sound plausible.
But it would be better if he just followed Gore's lead and made one up directly, saving Landric the trouble of thinking.
Snape's somber eyes fixed on Theodore, his robes billowing behind him. "Follow me."
In just a few seconds, Landric and Snape had widened the gap considerably.
Landric had long legs, but Snape was, after all, an adult.
He turned to Gore and Crabbe and said, "Go back."
The restroom is far from here, so they'll be safe if they walk back this short distance.
Then, frowning, he jogged after them.
Snape's speed increased, and Landric's frustration grew, but he still gritted his teeth and chased after him.
Snape didn't go to Dumbledore; instead, he searched for people floor by floor.
But not long after, Dumbledore arrived in a large entourage of professors.
Landric keenly observed that Snape and Dumbledore had a special connection.
But at this point, Landric had no time to think about anything else.
A group of people found a stone statue on the second floor.
It's Draco.
The moment Landric saw the statue, his steps slowed down.
Theodore watched clearly from the side. A hint of regret flashed silently in his eyes.
They're really lucky to be alive.
Dumbledore, accompanied by a group of professors who were either surprised or angry, took Draco to the infirmary.
They also brought along two young wizards who were present.
The situation remains unclear, and the cloud of petrification hangs over the hearts of every professor.
Ms. Pomfrey was furious, as she treasured every young wizard.
"Mr. Rozier, do you know why Mr. Malfoy ran out here?"
Dumbledore's words hit the nail on the head, and the professors also turned their attention to Landric.
"I don't know, Principal. I was just playing around tonight, but I never expected something like this to happen," Landric said, his eyes slightly red.
Dumbledore sighed. "Don't be sad, child. Mr. Malfoy will be fine once the mandrake matures."
"But I still want to ask, can't a talisman withstand a petrification curse?"
Dumbledore still had doubts about me.
Landric said, "Okay."
But the basilisk's petrification does not rely on spells.
Dumbledore felt a headache coming on; he thought he should be the one feeling bad.
If a student is petrified, their parents must be notified no matter what.
Moreover, the one petrified this time was the heir of the Malfoy family, who had already foreseen the wrath and difficulty of the Malfoys.
After asking Mrs. Pomfrey a few more questions and confirming that Draco would have no other matters to attend to, Dumbledore decided to hold a meeting with the professors that very night.
Landric requested to remain in the medical room.
Snape was reluctant to agree, but seeing the tears on Landrick's face, he softened his tone.
"Yes, but you can't leave the medical room."
Dumbledore hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped himself.
But a short while later, everyone was startled.
A dark-skinned figure rushed over. "Dean, I have a complaint to file."
P.S.: Happy New Year everyone! No matter how lazy I am, I'll still get up and write a chapter for you all.
