Chapter 92 Sincere Emotions
Chapter 92 Sincere Emotions
After the production contract was signed, the MP3 player entered the production stage.
Meanwhile, with the help of the patent agency, the application for the design patent and trademark registration of the Little Mouse MP3 player was successfully submitted to the State Intellectual Property Office.
Lin Xiaowen resigned from the electronics factory and officially joined Fengchi Digital Studio as Lin Feng's on-site quality inspection representative.
Her brother, Lin Xiaoqiang, was happy for his sister when he learned that she had joined Lin Feng's company.
Two days later, Lin Feng prepared to return to Chengdu.
On the eve of his departure, Lin Feng once again gathered Lin Xiaowen and her siblings, Wu Wenjie, and Chen Weiguo for a meal.
Dinner was arranged at an authentic Cantonese restaurant.
With everything settled, the atmosphere in the private room became much more relaxed.
Wu Wenjie and Lin Xiaoqiang took turns toasting Lin Feng. Wu Wenjie thanked him for his trust and the business he brought, while Lin Xiaoqiang thanked Lin Feng for taking care of his sister.
Lin Xiaoqiang had long seen that Lin Feng was destined for great things, and he wanted to work with Lin Feng, but unfortunately, Lin Feng didn't need to hire a driver now.
Lin Feng had a high alcohol tolerance and accepted all the toasts offered.
During the meal, Wu Wenjie chatted about some interesting things in Huaqiangbei, while Lin Xiaoqiang and Chen Weiguo talked about their military experiences. Lin Xiaowen listened quietly most of the time, only speaking softly when asked occasionally, her eyes never leaving Lin Feng.
Wu Wenjie lamented that with the increasing number of MP3 brands, business was becoming increasingly difficult. He asked Lin Feng if he had considered entering the MP4 business in the future. Wu Wenjie believed that MP4s would quickly replace MP3s in the future.
But Lin Feng gave a negative assessment.
Lin Feng believes that large-screen MP4 players cannot be mass-produced domestically in the short term due to their high price and strong customer resistance, making widespread adoption difficult. The real future, he argues, lies in mobile phones, especially smartphones.
Wu Wenjie couldn't figure it out for a moment, but he still personally favored MP4 players.
Lin Feng didn't argue with anyone.
The dinner party ended after 9 p.m.
After seeing Wu Wenjie and Chen Weiguo off, Lin Xiaowen insisted on taking Lin Feng back to the hotel. Lin Xiaoqiang, understanding the situation, left first.
The two walked slowly along the streets at night. The night in Shenzhen was still lively, with neon lights flashing and cars flowing like a river. The evening breeze dispelled the heat of the day and brought a touch of coolness.
"Brother Feng, what time is your flight tomorrow?" Lin Xiaowen asked.
"Ten o'clock in the morning," Lin Feng replied, his gaze sweeping over the flashing neon lights on both sides of the street.
"Ten o'clock..." Lin Xiaowen repeated softly, making it a habit. Her steps unconsciously drew closer to Lin Feng's.
The two didn't exchange many words, and the atmosphere was quiet, yet something subtle seemed to be flowing in the air.
They walked slowly along the sidewalk, the night breeze ruffling the stray hairs on Lin Xiaowen's forehead.
She would occasionally turn her head to glance at Lin Feng, then look away before he noticed, her gaze falling on the long shadow cast by the streetlights ahead.
Her arms swayed gently as she walked, and whether intentionally or unintentionally, the back of her hand would occasionally brush against Lin Feng's hand.
When they first touched each other, they both paused slightly.
Lin Xiaowen's fingers twitched slightly, then she immediately moved them away.
The second time, the third time... those seemingly insignificant touches seemed to carry an electric current in the quiet night.
Lin Feng could feel the smoothness of the other person's skin on the back of his hand.
When they reached a path shaded by trees, their hands touched again.
This time, Lin Feng's fingers twitched. The next second, a soft little hand tentatively hooked his little finger.
Then, his entire palm carefully pressed against his, trembling slightly, and grasped a few of his fingers.
Lin Feng did not stop walking, but his fingers slowly closed, completely enveloping that soft hand in his palm.
Lin Xiaowen lowered her head slightly, her cheeks flushed.
Neither of them spoke; they simply held hands and walked side by side down the streets of Shenzhen.
The warmth emanating from the touch of their palms conveyed the stirrings of youth more clearly than any words.
Lin Xiaowen couldn't help but smile, revealing a pair of adorable dimples on her cheeks.
Every road has an end. Before they knew it, they had arrived near the hotel where Lin Feng was staying. Further ahead was a fork in the road.
Lin Xiaowen slowed down and finally stopped.
She still held Lin Feng's hand, not letting go, and looked up at him. The glow of the streetlights rippled in her eyes, carrying a deep sense of reluctance.
"Brother Feng..." she called softly, her voice slightly weak.
"Mm," Lin Feng replied, looking at her.
"I...I'll come and take you tomorrow morning."
"it is good."
Lin Xiaowen bit her lower lip, loosened her grip on Lin Feng's hand, took a small step forward, opened her arms, gently wrapped them around Lin Feng's waist, and buried her face in his chest.
The girl's soft body pressed against him without any gap, and Lin Feng could clearly feel her warmth and the softness transmitted through her thin clothes.
The fresh scent of her hair wafted into my nostrils. Her arms were wrapped tightly around hers, with a look of dependence.
Lin Feng raised his hands, paused in mid-air for a moment, and finally gently placed them on her back and patted her.
This action seemed to give Lin Xiaowen some kind of encouragement; she hugged him tighter and rubbed her cheek affectionately against his chest.
After a long while, Lin Xiaowen slowly released her grip, took a half step back, her face already flushed, but her eyes were sparkling as she looked at him, filled with starlight.
Goodnight, Feng!
"Good night!"
Lin Feng hailed a taxi for Lin Xiaowen and helped her into it. He watched the taxi drive away before turning back to his hotel.
The next morning, before eight o'clock, Lin Feng had just finished checking out of the hotel and was dragging his suitcase out when he saw the familiar Chang'an van parked on the side of the road.
Lin Xiaoqiang rolled down the car window and waved to him. The passenger door opened, and Lin Xiaowen jumped out.
Today she wore a light yellow short-sleeved T-shirt with light-colored jeans, and her hair was up in a bun, making her look fresh and energetic.
"Brother Feng!" She jogged over and naturally wanted to help Lin Feng with his suitcase.
"No need, I can do it myself." Lin Feng didn't let her. Lin Xiaowen then rushed to open the back door of the van, and Lin Feng put the suitcase in the back seat himself.
Lin Feng sat in the back row, and Lin Xiaowen didn't go back to the front either, but sat next to him in the back. Lin Xiaoqiang glanced at them in the rearview mirror, smiled slightly, and didn't say anything.
On the way to the airport, Lin Xiaoqiang turned on the radio and tuned it to a channel playing pop music.
The music slightly broke the silence in the carriage. Lin Xiaowen mostly looked out the window quietly, but Lin Feng could sense that her attention was actually focused on him.
Occasionally, when they stopped at a red light, she would turn her head, glance at him quickly, and then look away as if nothing had happened.
Their hands were placed on the seats beside them, very close together, but neither of them made any further contact.
Upon arriving at the airport, Lin Xiaoqiang helped carry the luggage down and patted Lin Feng on the shoulder:
"Brother, have a safe journey! Don't worry about things here, Xiaowen will keep an eye on things for you!"
"Thanks for your hard work, Brother Qiang. Keep in touch." Lin Feng shook hands with him.
Lin Xiaoqiang tactfully returned to the car, saying he was going to make a U-turn ahead, leaving the two of them some space.
People were coming and going at the entrance of the departure hall. Lin Xiaowen stood in front of Lin Feng, looking up at him with eyes full of reluctance.
"Brother Feng, call me when you arrive..." Her voice was a little hoarse.
"Okay. Be careful at the factory, and contact me anytime if anything happens." Lin Feng looked at her gently. "Take care of the quality control work, but don't overwork yourself."
"Yes, I know." Lin Xiaowen nodded, then opened her arms again and hugged Lin Feng tightly.
Lin Feng also embraced the other person generously.
The two embraced for about half a minute before reluctantly parting. Lin Xiaowen lowered her head, her eyes moist.
Lin Feng gently wiped away the tears from the other person's eyes and smoothed the other person's hair behind their ear.
Lin Feng looked at her affectionately and said, "Go back, I'm going in."
"I'll watch you go in." Lin Xiaowen stood still.
Lin Feng didn't say anything more, pulled up the handle of his suitcase, and turned to walk towards the security checkpoint.
After taking a few steps, he turned around and saw Lin Xiaowen still standing there. Her slender figure looked somewhat frail in the surging crowd, but she was gazing affectionately in his direction.
Seeing him turn around, she immediately raised her hand and waved it vigorously.
Lin Feng also raised his hand to wave to her, then joined the crowd queuing for security check without lingering.
The plane roared into the sky and soared into the azure heavens.
Lin Feng leaned back in his chair, gazing at the outline of the deep city outside the porthole, which grew smaller and smaller until it was finally obscured by clouds. The calmness on his face slowly faded, replaced by a quiet contemplation.
He deeply felt Lin Xiaowen's sincere feelings for him.
