Chapter 644: Bluffing Attempt.
Chapter 644: Bluffing Attempt.
He had a faint smile on his lips as he said, "Don’t think that I am asking for too much here. One Divine Metac is for your life. The other one is for me to stop inquiring about the dealings of your alliance in the Blessed Heaven World. So I’m not asking for much."
Forced Exchange’s eyes had become bloodshot by the time Loki was done speaking. He wanted to eat Loki whole, but he refrained from doing anything that could jeopardize his life.
Since he was running out of time to make a decision, he quickly relayed the conversation he had just had with Gold Body to Money Body.
When Money Body heard what Loki said, his eyes lit up as he said, "He is bluffing."
Forced Exchange didn’t agree with this statement, so he, "He didn’t sound like he was bluffing."
He spoke cautiously so as not to offend Money Body. But Money Body was still displeased that Forced Exchange thought that he could be wrong.
The rank 8 money cultivator snorted and said, "Of course, he is bluffing. You just can’t see it because you’re in the middle of the problem and are desperate."
He glared at Forced Exchange as he said, "What Gold Body said is true. You’re truly desperate, and his alliance now has the initiative."
"However, this doesn’t mean that they have it easy. They just don’t want to look as desperate as you, which is why they are making this demand. So they are bluffing."
Then Money Body shrugged and said, "Besides, we don’t have two Divine Metacs lying around. At most, we can give him two small worlds."
"After we give him the two small worlds, the rest are on him. He can find the rank 5 cultivators with mutated Life Abilities himself and hope that they successfully transform the mutated Life Abilities into Divine Metacs."
Forced Exchange nodded before telling Loki about the two small worlds. Loki immediately shook his head and said, "No way. How can two small worlds equal two Divine Metacs? If they were equivalent, you would have two more members in your alliance with those two small worlds."
He even sneered as he said, "So you want me to find rank 5 cultivators with mutated Life Abilities to try and use the symbol of authority of the worlds to create a New Divine Position. If they fail, the symbol of authority and the small world will be gone. Then I will have nothing."
"I won’t let you fleece me this way. I want ten small worlds if you want to use small worlds to exchange for your freedom."
Forced Exchange shouted at him, saying, "If we had ten small worlds, then we wouldn’t be having this conversation because we would be able to use the heart of the ten small worlds to make up for the loss of lifespan that you’ve caused us."
Forced Exchange had a point about this. At the heart of a small world could have between 10,000 years worth of resources, up to 100,000 years worth.
So ten small worlds could have between 100,000 years and 1 million years ’ worth of resources. Of course, how many years of lifespan that can be acquired from this is dependent on the conversion efficiency of the Life Fire of the divine being.
However, no matter how bad their conversion efficiency is, the fact remains that with ten small worlds, the Thorn House should be able to make up for the 343,279 years of resources that they have lost in this round. So they should be able to go for another round of tug of war with him if they had this amount of resources.
But Loki refused to back down. Since he wasn’t afraid of going another round of wasting lifespan trying to kill each other, he sneered and said in disdain, "I am not a fool or a beggar that you can tell off with two small worlds. Let that sink into your head if you don’t want to die."
In response, Forced Exchange threw his hands up and said, "We don’t have ten small worlds. That’s the fact, and no amount of threats will change that."
"You’re just asking for too much. How about three small worlds? We can manage three small worlds."
Loki heard this, but instead of answering the question, he said nonchalantly, "I wonder how much your life is worth. Why don’t we try to see?"
"You don’t need to do anything. I’ll do all the work. I’ll keep trying to kill you, then we will see how close you get to death before you crack and give me what I want."
Actually, he was already tempted by this deal. It is the only reason why he would negotiate at all.
If he kills Forced Exchange right now, he won’t gain anything from it. This is because he can’t find or enter the communal Cave Heaven if the Thorn House of Alliance.
Even if he could somehow find that communal Cave Heaven and enter it, he would only be ganged on by the members of the alliance. With Money Body there, he would surely die.
With no benefits on one side, the prospect of gaining three small worlds, which he could use to raise his strength, is tempting.
Of course, there is also the fact that he wanted to know exactly what they were hiding about their business in the Blessed Heaven World that they were willing to spend money to keep a secret. But tangible benefits beat his curiosity, so he was willing to make the deal.
However, he didn’t want to appear too eager for a deal, and he wanted to fleece them, so he took a hard stance in the negotiation and threatened to let Forced Exchange die before he would accept the deal.
Eventually, both sides were able to come to a deal. Loki would stop trying to kill Forced Exchange and would stop investigating the Thorn House of Commerce as long as they don’t inquire about him through the divine constellation.
